We are cancelling the 21st annual Wild About Animals event on April 11th at the PSU Ag Arena because of the concern of the coronavirus (COVID 19.) It was hard for us to make this decision. We look forward to this event every year because in many ways it’s like a family reunion. We are very sad that we have to cancel. However, human health is paramount.

Our sponsors for this event have told us to keep their sponsorship monies as a donation to help the orphaned and injured animals at Centre Wildlife Care. Please help us thank them for being supportive and understanding!

Centre Wildlife Care operates only on donations with a volunteer staff. We receive NO government money. Your support helps us care for over 1600 wild animals per year until they can be released back into the wild.
Since the WAA event is a major fundraiser bringing in over 20K, we need to find other ways to make up the financial deficit to continue normal operations at CWC.
Ways you can help…
We are working on other ways to fundraise including online sales. Let me know if you can help in some way. We are still brainstorming on this one. Stay tuned. J

We will continue to accept wild animals for care, unless we are advised differently. However, we are practicing “social distancing.” Which means, we will give you a safe drop off location and we will retrieve the animals immediately. This will be weird I know…So I’m apologizing ahead of time for this.
Before you drop off any animal, please make sure your name, phone and address is written on the box. And if you want to know the outcome, your e-mail address.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your understanding and support.
Centre Wildlife Care (CWC), in association with SEAC (Small and Exotic Animal Club), is hosting the WAA.
This event is an animal expo, attended by 2000 to 3000 people, featuring a variety of animal-related organizations (veterinarians, rescue groups, petting zoo, environmental groups, etc.) with an emphasis on networking, education, outreach, and pet adoption.
There will be lots of interesting animals such as dogs, cats, hawks, owls, turtles, snakes, giant tortoise, fisher (new), chickens, a kissing horse, giant bunnies and Poppy the famous groundhog.
For the kiddos...
We will have a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, free candy, face painting, carnival games, and free toys.
The WAA event is an outreach and fundraising event. The proceeds from this event will help fund the efforts at CWC. CWC is a non-profit organization that provides licensed and professional care to orphaned/injured/compromised wild animals until they can be released back into the wild. CWC also provides educational outreach programs to the public. Donations are tax-deductible!
